The Alberta Plastics Recycling Association (APRA) is pleased to welcome Krista Webb as Communications Consultant.
Krista brings more than 15 years of experience in marketing and communications across a wide range of sectors including tourism, law, technology, sport, arts, and non-profit organizations. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing and has built her career around creating thoughtful communications strategies that connect organizations with their audiences in meaningful ways.
Her professional background includes roles with organizations such as the Calgary Stampede, The TELUS Convention Centre, Gowlings LLP and The GRAND Theatre, where she led marketing and communications initiatives that engaged diverse audiences and strengthened community relationships. Krista also recently re-joined the Calgary Stampede, as a volunteer on the Parade Committee as Traditional Media Coordinator, continuing her involvement in one of Calgary’s most iconic community events.

Krista believes the most effective communications go beyond sharing information – they build connection, add value for stakeholders, and create positive impact within communities. She is excited to work with APRA, an organization that brings together diverse partners to address a complex global challenge and advance innovation in plastics recycling.
Based in Calgary, Krista enjoys photography, hiking, camping, and travelling whenever she can. She shares life with her fiancé and two dogs, Larry and Arthur, who keep things entertaining. She has a long-standing fascination with anything miniature – proof that even the smallest details can spark curiosity and joy. Outside of work, she also loves planning adventures and experiences with her nephews and niece and values the time she gets to spend creating memories with them.

Krista looks forward to supporting APRA in strengthening its communications and helping share the important work being done across Alberta’s plastics recycling industry.
