Thinking Outside the Bin: AI Solutions for a Circular World

In a world where waste is piling up and resources are running thin, it’s time to stop thinking inside the bin. This talk explores how artificial intelligence, yes, that magical algorithmic brainpower, is helping professionals reimagine everything from production to packaging, supply chains to second chances. From predicting waste before it happens to designing smarter systems that mimic nature’s loop, AI isn’t just a buzzword; it’s a key player in building a circular economy. Whether you’re in operations, marketing, logistics, or innovation, this session will challenge you to rethink your role in the loop and show how the smartest solutions might just start in the scrap pile.

Note: this is a hands-on workshop- you will get the most out of this if you can bring your laptop to participate in the live exercises.

About Jeph:

Jeph has an utter disregard for the status quo. As a keynote speaker, he’s captivated audiences across Canada with bold, practical insights on marketing, social media, and storytelling in the age of AI. He’s known for cutting through the noise, making complex ideas simple, and reminding people that while technology is changing fast, caring more still wins.

By day, Jeph is the co-founder of StratLab, a Regina-based marketing company he’s been building for over 14 years alongside organizations that want to do meaningful work—and actually get noticed for it.

He’s also the co-founder of Big Idea Camp, now celebrating its 11th year of helping young people think bigger, create boldly, and build ideas that matter. Along the way, he’s taught marketing at Saskatchewan Polytechnic and social media at the University of Regina, sharing his belief that storytelling is still the most powerful tool we have.

By night? You’ll find him cooking, baking, golfing, gardening – or occasionally handing out lottery tickets just to see what happens. But his proudest role is being a dad to two incredible kids. For Jeph, fatherhood is the ultimate adventure – and his favourite story yet.
